MGA identifies unlicensed operators

The Malta Gaming Authority identified six unauthorised URLs during October 2026, the regulator announced. The MGA stated it has no connection with the identified sites.

The regulator said any reference to the MGA and gaming licences claimed to be issued by the Maltese Authority by the identified websites is false and misleading.

Consumer warning

The MGA reminded consumers not to utilise services provided by an entity unless they have ascertained that the entity is authorised by the MGA.

The regulator warned that the activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated and do not provide the necessary safeguards, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers. The MGA noted that unlicensed operators do not provide the safeguards delineated by virtue of the framework.
