Wazdan enters Finland through Veikkaus partnership
Wazdan has gone live with Veikkaus via Light & Wonder’s platform, starting with three slots ahead of Finland’s July 2027 gambling reform.
Wazdan has gone live with Veikkaus through Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform, starting with three slots: Hot Slot: 777 Platinum Crown, Hot Slot: 777 Gold Crown and Mighty Hot: 777. The supplier’s first Finnish deal comes eight months before the country’s new Gambling Act takes effect. More Wazdan games are set to follow, including Sizzling 777 Deluxe, Mighty Crown: Legacy of Mars, Magic Fruits Deluxe, Hot Slot: 777 Cash Out, Magic Fruits 4 Deluxe, Hot Slot: 777 Coins and Valhalla, along with further titles from the studio’s slot library.
Platform and strategy
Light & Wonder’s platform has carried Wazdan into other regulated markets this year, including a launch of ten titles on YoBingo.pt in Portugal. Wazdan said the Veikkaus deal supports its strategy of working with established operators in regulated markets.
Finland’s gambling reform
Finland’s gambling system will be reformed on 1 July 2027, when the new Gambling Act comes into effect. From that date, Veikkaus will split its gambling business and customer accounts into two new subsidiaries, and sports betting and online casino games will move to a separate Vedot & iCasino app. Veikkaus is also preparing a new brand for the reformed market, having announced plans to launch Viabet in Finland and Denmark with Viaplay.

D’Agata added that Wazdan plans to bring more of its content to Veikkaus players. Riikka Seppänen, VP iCasino at Veikkaus, welcomed Wazdan to the Finnish market and said the operator expects the titles to perform well with its players. Wazdan supplies mobile-first titles to more than 40 regulated markets, in all currencies and cryptocurrencies, and releases more than 40 new slots a year.
